As I type...
my Peace Corps recruiter is on the phone with a placement officer in Washington D.C.
I am in the process of being officially nominated for a secondary education teaching position in Sub Saharan Africa.
Guess what I would be teaching....
MATH!
At last, I return to my one true love.
Ha. That is too dramatic, but since I have been thinking of returning to math since I started seminary, it's kind of strange that I am now landing in a position to do so. Landing is definitely the appropriate word there too.
For now, I am waiting for my recruiter to call me back and confirm some things for me. This news could all change if the placement officer nixes my application for not having a math degree.
But, I work at 10. I will keep everyone posted.
